At yesterday's Gilded Age presentation, most of the models sported some seriously chunky climbing boots. Turns out they were made by the Wisconsin-founded and Portland, Oregon-based brand Danner. Appropriately, the company knows how to survive a tough climate, and not just for feet—it was started at the height of the Depression, in 1932.
